1. Service and operator

LiftBud is a strength-training application provided as part of the independently operated Bud Apps software project. The project is presently operated from Norway. Formal legal-entity details and a dedicated legal contact address have not yet been published and must be completed before broader public release.

Until a dedicated support channel is published, questions about these Terms can be raised through the official Bud project repository at https://github.com/JonasG-DEV/Bud.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account or using LiftBud, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be able to enter into this agreement under the law that applies to you. LiftBud is not currently designed for children, and a parent or guardian should not create an account for a child without first obtaining appropriate legal guidance.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting access to your email, password, and connected sign-in providers, and notifying the project if you believe your account is compromised.

LiftBud supports email/password and configured Google or Facebook sign-in. Connected identities remain subject to the terms of those providers. Do not share credentials or attempt to access another person's account.

4. Permitted use and prohibited conduct

You may use LiftBud to plan, record, review, and share your own training activity within the features currently provided.

  • Do not misuse the service, probe or bypass security controls, disrupt infrastructure, scrape private data, or automate abusive traffic.
  • Do not impersonate others or upload unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, deceptive, infringing, or privacy-invasive content.
  • Do not use LiftBud to distribute malware, secrets, credentials, or content you do not have permission to share.

5. Fitness and medical disclaimer

LiftBud is a training log and planning tool, not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition and does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare or fitness professional.

Exercise involves risk. You are responsible for choosing appropriate exercises, loads, volume, technique, equipment, supervision, and recovery. Stop if you experience pain, dizziness, or other concerning symptoms and seek appropriate professional help.

6. AI-generated program suggestions

When enabled, LiftBud can use your questionnaire answers to generate a proposed training program through a configured AI service. Generated programs are starting suggestions, may contain mistakes, and are not medical advice or individualized professional coaching.

Review every routine, exercise, set, and repetition target before saving or performing it. You remain responsible for adjusting or rejecting a suggestion based on your experience, equipment, health, and qualified professional advice.

7. Social features and user content

You retain ownership of the profile images, Social posts, comments, uploaded images, workout attachments, and other content you submit. You grant Bud Apps a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service according to your selected visibility and Bud relationships.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you upload. Content may be removed, restricted, or preserved where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, address a legal request, or maintain service integrity. Current moderation and reporting capabilities are limited during internal alpha.

8. Intellectual property

LiftBud, Bud Apps branding, software, and original service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the service or its branding to you. Your right to use the service is personal, limited, revocable, and subject to these Terms.

9. Availability and changes

LiftBud is currently an internal-alpha service. Features may change, be interrupted, or be removed. Data loss, defects, and downtime remain possible, and no uptime, support-response, backup, or compatibility guarantee is offered.

We may update the service and these Terms as the product changes. A substantive update will change the Last updated date. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.

10. Suspension and termination

Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risk, legal obligations, or material breach of these Terms. A self-service account-deletion flow is not currently implemented. Contact the project through the official repository for available correction or deletion assistance during internal alpha.

11. Disclaimers and limitation

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular training goal. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.

To the extent permitted by law, Bud Apps is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, reliance on generated suggestions, exercise decisions, third-party services, or unavailable data. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Parties should first try to resolve a dispute through the current official project contact. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear unresolved disputes.

13. Contact

The current project contact is the official Bud repository at https://github.com/JonasG-DEV/Bud. A dedicated legal contact address and complete operator details remain outstanding before broad public distribution.
